Montréal, October 17, 2007 — At the conclusion on November 30, 2007 of its regional public consultation tour, the Consultation Commission on Accommodation Practices Related to Cultural Differences (CCPARDC) will hold province-wide hearings from December 10 to 14, 2007 at the Montréal Convention Centre.
Provincial organizations such as political parties, institutions, businesses, labour unions and associations are invited to submit briefs to the Commission. In accordance with the rules adopted, briefs must not exceed 15 pages. The deadline for registering for the province-wide hearings and submitting briefs is November 10, 2007. The Commission
The CCAPRCD, co-chaired by sociologist and historian Gérard Bouchard and philosopher Charles Taylor, has been asked to take stock of accommodation practices and analyse all facets of the question by conducting a province-wide public consultation. The Commission will submit a report and make recommendations to the Québec Premier on March 31, 2008 (www.accommodements.qc.ca).
